"the testing of the king" (August 22, 2010)
"Jesus identified with sinners in His baptism, and God appointed Him to be the representative and Substitute for His people. Because He resisted every temptation in His life, and obeyed His Father completely, God accounts His obedience to His people. If you are trusting in Jesus for your salvation, then God sees you in His Son, and get this: He treats you as though you resisted every satanic temptation in your life, and obeyed Him perfectly. That is the Gospel."

Couples from 5 different churches gathered at MBC on Jan.22nd & 23rd for a marriage “tuneup.” The emphasis was on the practical as we considered how to deal with conflict and live like Christians in our marriages. Our speakers were Brian Shealy, Academic Dean at The Cornerstone Seminary, and Pastor Doug Thompson.
